The true picture of a nature culture has emerged in Vienna over the last twenty five to thirty years when the city fathers decided to dedicate many miles of the newly constructed Danube river canal bank to naturists. Now there are 1000's people enjoying their summer vacations and weekends in the nude. As one female British journalist commented in a daily paper some ten years ago, 'there is a hedonistic feel to the atmosphere when you walk through the city centre and observe the people and in particular the women in their behaviour and expressions.- Courtesy of Igor Zupnik
